JUNIE XIA

Junie Xia is a multidisciplinary visual artist, DJ, and founder of Juhnz, a creative initiative dedicated to crafting multi-sensory experiences that connect past and future. A graduate of Columbia University’s Visual Arts program, her work spans surrealist and impressionist portraiture, traditional Chinese ink painting, sound installations, and mixed-media art. Her practice explores identity, memory, and emotional reconnection — blending visual art, sound, and cultural storytelling to invite stillness, reflection, and resonance.

With a background as a classically trained pianist, Junie brings a refined musical sensibility to her visual work, integrating curated soundscapes inspired by Eastern philosophy, ancient Chinese poetry, and contemporary electronic rhythms. In collaboration with international DJs and producers, she transforms spaces into immersive sanctuaries — bridging East and West through poetic, sensory environments. Through Juhnz, she reimagines Chinese cultural heritage for a global audience, celebrating ritual, balance, and timeless wisdom through a contemporary, multidisciplinary lens.

Rooted in both Eastern and Western traditions, Junie’s work serves as a bridge between cultures — inviting global audiences into contemplative spaces that celebrate nuance, beauty, and emotional depth.
